Primal de Lanerolle, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO: Professor de Lanerolle has a BA in English and Chemistry from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, a Master’s Degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA and a PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of California, San Diego, CA. He spent 5 years in the Laboratory of Molecular Cardiology at the National Institutes of Health studying molecular motors in heart and vascular cell function and 37 years as a Professor of Physiology and Biophysics and Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, IL. He is currently an Emeritus Professor at the University of Illinois and a Lifetime Fellow of the American Society of Cell Biology.

David Downs, MBA, Co-Founder and CFO: David Downs has a BA in Finance from Brigham Young University and he earned an MBA in International Finance from California Lutheran University. His professional experience includes being a professional pilot and being a financial analyst for a private bank. He is currently Operations Manager for a large health food grocery chain.
